2026 Goals for HAIDA

1. Continue to work to build middle income senior housing on the Legacy Drive site.

2. Continue to pursue development of a Rt. 36 Access Road into the Business Park.

3. Identify interested developers to provide more business opportunities for the Business Park.

4. Cooperate with industrial development agencies within the county.

5. Keep all files current and updated.

6. Strive to reach and maintain full Board Membership.

7. Continue to actively support all of our tenants and businesses.

8. Apply for tax exempt status for newly acquired properties

9. Update the HAIDA Website on an annual basis.

10. Develop a HAIDA Facebook page.

11. Renovate Suite B-2 to meet the expanding needs of the current tenant.

2025 Goals for HAIDA

1. Contract and build middle income senior housing on the Legacy Drive site.

2. Continue to pursue a Rte. 36 Access Road into the Business Park.

3. Work with interested developers to provide more business opportunities within the Business Park. (ongoing)

4. Cooperate with all industrial development agencies within the county to promote further growth and development. (ongoing)

5. Actively seek a permanent tenant for Suite B2

6. Keep all files current and updated in the HAIDA Office. (ongoing)

7. Strive to reach and maintain full Board Membership.

8. When needed, develop additional parking spaces in the Business Park

9. Continue active support of all of our tenants and businesses in the area.

10. Update HAIDA Website on an annual basis.

11. Work to develop a plan to 'put Hastings on the map' through signage design or other community coordinated projects and a Facebook presence.

Recent Board Activities:

1. Held several meetings with the Cambria County Commissioners to discuss the need for an access road into the Business Park.

2. Met with the Commissioners regarding possible KOEZ designation for some of our saleable properties. (We were able to get acreage in both Elder Twp. and Hastings Borough designated as such.)

3. Have been successful in obtaining a tenant for suite B and they have signed a 5-year lease. (Prism Mental Health Services opened in November 2024.)

4. Were able to add two active new Board Members who have already made a substantial positive impact on the board.

5. Reviewed and updated our Covenants and Restrictions document and met with residents of Laurel Drive to encourage them to form their own association.
